With delicately honest lyrics, pure vocals and smart instrumentation, Amy Stroup is garnering due acclaim. She has self-released four albums, unconventionally packaged as atmospheric sessions that capture overarching themes. For the first release, The Other Side of Love | Session One, for which she partnered with Grammy-winning producer Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift), while for the following three sessions, she collaborated with friends Trent Dabbs and Mary Hooper, as well as producer Thomas Doeve. She wrote or co-wrote all of the tracks, which have been featured on ABC’s Private Practice, Brothers & Sisters, One Tree Hill and Castle, as well as CW shows under Milkglass Creative.

FIRST LISTEN:::Now streaming live & free at myspace.com/amystroup is a new single due out in September, ‘Backed Into The Corner’…Click over and be the first to listen. “The song came from a trying winter, its sort of a live filter and process of my winter. I wrote the chorus and took it to my collaborator and friend and finished the song in less than an hour. This Saturday, July 24th I am happy to be apart of a community building, music gathering happening here in Nashville, TN. Through the ardent efforts of several local music industry professionals, musicians, and appreciators the new found Musicians Corner is happening every Saturday from 3PM – 6PM in Nashville’s own Centennial park to feature a diverse grouping of quality music. Modeling much after Hyde Park’s Speakers Corner* in London, our city is offering a similar feel uniquely offering songs. This week I will be playing with other local artist and bands such as Justin Branam, Slow Motion Centerfold, Justin Kalk Orchestra, Keegan Dewitt, Roman Candle and more. You never know who just might show up. I’ll be talking more about it on NBC’s Better Nashville show Thursday at 12PM, as well as talking live on Nashville own Lightning100 with Justin Branam on Friday at 1PM.
